Microneedling Treatments in Germany: Pen vs RF vs Scalp Comparison

Updated October 26, 2026. German clinics and beauty businesses use the word Microneedling for several services that are not directly comparable. A standard electric microneedling treatment, RF microneedling, scalp needling and a package combined with PRP or other products have different equipment, training, consumables, pricing and regulatory questions.

Electric microneedling pens and RF systems belong in separate service and purchasing comparisons.

The figures below are a small, non-random sample of public German provider pages checked in October 2026. They are not a national price average. Final prices vary by city, provider type, treatment area, appointment time, included products and technology.

Microneedling treatments in Germany: quick comparison

Project type Public price examples Typical equipment and consumables Commercial fit
Standard electric microneedling €159 face; €209 face and neck; €239 face, neck and décolletage in one reviewed Munich menu Adjustable electric pen, model-specific sterile single-use cartridge, hygiene supplies and suitable aftercare Beauty studios, training schools, salons and clinics that want a lower equipment entry cost and recurring cartridge sales
RF microneedling Reviewed examples ranged from €259 to €600+ for a facial session; larger areas and premium platforms can be higher Energy-based RF platform, proprietary treatment tips, maintenance, training and a different risk/service workflow Medical and premium aesthetic providers able to support higher equipment, training and service costs
Scalp microneedling €229–€249 in reviewed public examples Pen or RF platform depending on service, sterile cartridges, scalp protocol and separately verified products Hair clinics and specialist providers; product route and marketing claims require particular care

1. Standard electric microneedling

Standard electric microneedling uses a motorised pen and a compatible disposable cartridge. It should be compared as a device-and-consumables system rather than as a handpiece alone. German buyers should check the exact model, cartridge connector, pin options, sterile packaging evidence, German-ready information, warranty process and repeat-order lead time.

A reviewed Munich studio listed €159 for face, €209 for face and neck and €239 for face, neck and décolletage. Another German medical-beauty provider listed €245 for a two-hour face treatment and €245 for a scalp service, both with specified care inclusions. These examples demonstrate how appointment time and inclusions can matter as much as the device.

For salons and distributors comparing devices, use the Dr.Pen M8, M8S, M9 and A11 comparison chart. Confirm the current version and cartridge match before ordering.

2. RF microneedling

RF microneedling combines needles with radiofrequency energy. It is not simply a more expensive microneedling pen. The platform, treatment tips, servicing, training and operating risks differ from standard mechanical or electric needling.

Public German examples reviewed for this article included €259 for a full-face RF treatment, €360 for face, €390 for face and neck, €450 for a medical RF service and €600 or more for another Morpheus8 service. The wide spread reflects different platforms, provider types, locations and inclusions; it should not be presented as a national price range.

3. Scalp microneedling

Scalp needling is marketed separately by some German providers. Public examples in the reviewed sample were €229, €245 and €249. A buyer should separate the physical needling service from any claims made for a serum, exosome product, PRP or drug. A clinic offering a combined service needs to verify the classification, intended route, labelling, sterility where relevant, practitioner scope and lawful advertising of every component.

4. Microneedling combined with PRP or other products

A package can add consultation time, product cost, clinical handling and additional professional requirements. One reviewed medical clinic listed PRP preparation and microneedling from €300. This is not comparable to a cosmetic studio adding a topical finishing product, and neither should be assumed equivalent to needling a product into open channels.

Do not select a serum only because a treatment provider pairs it with microneedling. Verify the product classification, ingredients, label, intended use, route, evidence and supplier documents before incorporating it into a protocol.

Which project is the best commercial fit?

  • Beauty salon or academy: standard electric microneedling can offer a more manageable equipment investment and a clear device-plus-cartridge teaching workflow.
  • Medical or premium clinic: RF or combination services may support higher ticket prices, but also require more capital, training, servicing and role-specific compliance checks.
  • Hair-focused provider: scalp services need a separate consultation, product and claims policy instead of copying a facial protocol.
  • Distributor: compare local demand, economic-operator responsibilities, service capacity, German-language information and the repeat consumables model before selecting a product range.

Germany and EU buyer checklist

Under the EU Medical Device Regulation, manufacturers, authorised representatives, importers and distributors have distinct responsibilities. Before placing a wholesale order, request and verify:

  1. the exact legal manufacturer, device model and intended purpose;
  2. the applicable EU authorised representative and importer chain;
  3. the EU declaration of conformity and model-specific supporting scope;
  4. German labelling and instructions where required;
  5. UDI, lot, expiry and sterile single-use cartridge information where applicable;
  6. compatible cartridge and connector evidence for the current device version;
  7. complaint, adverse-event, recall, warranty and repair responsibilities;
  8. storage, transport and traceability records.

A CE symbol in a photograph is not enough. Match the declaration and supporting documents to the legal manufacturer, intended purpose and exact model being supplied.

Wholesale planning for German buyers

For a standard electric microneedling range, plan the device and the repeat-order cartridge system together. Justech supplies Dr.Pen devices and compatible disposable cartridges for qualified wholesale projects. Buyers can review the private label device guide, custom cartridge packaging checklist and device-and-cartridge kit guide.

For a Germany-focused quotation, send the intended customer type, preferred model, device quantity, cartridge mix, branding level and destination. We will separate the device, consumables, packaging and freight inputs so the project can be evaluated clearly.

Frequently asked questions

Is RF microneedling the same as an electric microneedling pen?

No. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy and uses a different platform, treatment tips, training and service workflow.

What does microneedling cost in Germany?

There is no single national price. In the reviewed public sample, a standard facial service started at €159, while RF examples ranged from €259 to €600 or more depending on platform, provider, area and inclusions.

Can a German distributor import any CE-marked microneedling device?

A CE mark alone is not a complete supplier check. The importer should verify the applicable documentation, exact model, intended purpose, economic operators, labelling, traceability and post-market responsibilities.
